New York cocoa futures finished with modest losses on Tuesday as light speculative selling pressured prices in lethargic trade while the London exchange was still closed on holiday, floor sources said. The New York Board of Trade's front-month March cocoa contract lost $3 to settle at $1,561 a tonne, near the bottom half of its $1,556-$1,588 trading range. May cocoa closed $4 lower at $1,564 and deferred or back month contracts fell $1 to $5.
