A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) with prayer to direct the respondent government to form a national government comprising judges, politicians, editors and senior bar members. The petitioner M.D. Tahir contended that the respondent government and President of Pakistan have taken some unacceptable decisions on Indian occupied Kashmir, therefore, conduct of the respondents has caused harm to Indian occupied Kashmir cause.
He, therefore, prayed to the court to issue directions for the formation of a national government to hold free and impartial elections and transfer of power to the real public representatives.
LHC DIRECTS SSP: The LHC has also directed SSP Lahore to get registered FIR against SHO Gowalmandi for illegally detaining two real sons of the petitioner Haider Ali.
The court also observed that police is bound to produce a person before the judicial magistrate within 24 hours after his arrest. The court also observed that the police officials did not act in accordance with the law and used to keep the innocent citizens in their illegal custody.
