Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani has said that preparations for launching Quetta-Kandahar bus service are in the final stage. Talking to Voice of America (VoA), the Governor said, a six-member steering committee which has been notified for the bus service, has held its meeting. The committee has issued and finalised its tender three days back.
Owais Ghani said that the bus service will be launched when Pakistani and Afghan consulates will sign the agreement. "I hope that entire process will be completed on Thursday," he said.
He said that survey work was under way for laying railway track between Chaman and Kandahar.
The Governor expressed hope that Pakistan Railways would start work on this project next year.
