Engro Chemicals Pakistan Ltd has done a fantastic job this time. Their book closing for the 2nd interim dividend ended on 21st December 2004. And I received the dividend warrant early in the morning of 22nd December 2004, before the closing of banking hours. I have it from reliable sources that many in the upcountry also received it on the same day. Incredible. This is a record that can possibly be equalled but can never be broken by any other company.
There are three organisations that share this honour jointly. Engro themselves, their registrars Fergusons and last, but not the least Pakistan Post Office. In view of the fact that a registered letter ordinarily takes more time than any other urgent mail service, this feat becomes even more incredible.
I suggest that all the other top 24 companies send their spies to Engro to find out how they managed it?
