Jamhoori Wattan Party Secretary General Senator Amanullah Khan Kanrani has widely condemned the criminal assault on a lady doctor of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) in Sui, by Security Guards between the night of January 3 and 4. Addressing at a press conference here on Saturday, he said that despite the passage of five days Dera Murad Jamali police has yet not been able to lodge first information Report (FIR) against a Captain Amad and his four accomplices, who broke into the residence of Lady Dr Shazia Khalid an employee of PPL at Sui, which is under the heavy security of Army.
The Senator regretted that to save the alleged army men, the Defence Security Guard (DSG) did not allow the area police inside PPL premises for detailed investigation, and tried to institute a false theft case.
Kanrani further told the newsmen that after passage of three days, police approached the scene of crime and recovered evidences which points towards criminal assault.
He said that the lady doctor remained unconscious for three days adding that according to information she has been shifted to Karachi for treatment in serious condition and is still senseless.
He pointed out that due to not cooperation PPL's administration, DPO Nasirabad has written a letter to the manager PPL Pervez Jamula in which he has stated that if it is theft case why the facts were concealed from the police for three days.
The letter stated why other witnesses like Nurses Sakina and Fardous, lady doctor Suria, lady doctor Saima Siddiqui and CMO Usman Wadha were not produced before police for their statements and why they have not given there statements yet, and also stated that preliminary police investigation suggests that Dr Shazia Khalid was criminally assaulted and kept in PPL hospital where she remained unconscious for at least two days.
Senator Amanullah said centre should hand-over all the powers to the provinces except defence, finance and foreign affairs so that people rights be safeguarded.
