A major step forward in the way in which the cargo is dealt in and out of Pakistan is underway and will be implemented under the Customs Administrative Reforms (CARE) project, an in-house initiative of Central Board of Revenue (CBR). A seminar on the project to brief the business community is being jointly organised by Pakistan Customs and Karachi International Container Terminal on January 10 in Karachi and January 18 in Lahore.
The basic objective of CARE is to ensure expeditious clearance of cargo in the most simplified manner and with zero non-receipt expense to trade.
