National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Lieutenant General Munir Hafeez has urged NAB trainee officers to equip themselves with good knowledge of constitutional, anti-corruption laws, investigation techniques and procedures. He stated this on Monday while inaugurating "Senior Investigation Officers Course" for NAB officials here at the National Institute of Banking and Finance.
The course is the first training course of year 2005 for NAB officers, aimed to keep officials abreast of the latest techniques, development and methodology in conducting precision investigations.
Speaking on the occasion, the NAB Chairman said the menace of corruption was firmly entrenched in our society and had hampered the governance system.
He further said NAB was one of the best organisations in the country and they had to further maintain its repute by making best efforts.
However, he said it was a great responsibility of senior investigation officers to put in their best efforts during training period, acquire the expertise and work with dedication and commitment.
Lieutenant General Munir urged the senior investigators to exercise responsibility and to conduct investigations minutely with the utmost care and set new standards of professional conduct.
The NAB Chairman directed the existing and trainee investigation officials to update the investigation diary on daily basis, which was necessary for investigation wing.
"We have to face new challenges in various stages of life, so you should learn knowledge from each other by doing team work," he added.
Lieutenant General Munir Hafeez also urged the faculty members of training course to give their professional best to the trainee officers.
A large number of senior officials of NAB across the country are participating in the investigation course.
