The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani has said that construction of Baglihar Dam according to India's design will result in submerging the entire Doda district in Indian occupied Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued by APHC headquarters in occupied Srinagar on Tuesday, Syed Ali Gilani supporting Pakistan's stand on the issue said that it totally conforms Kashmiris' stance.
He pointed out that the Dam's construction was contrary to the provisions of Indus Water Treaty of 1960.
He maintained that India had no justification to continue work on the Dam without Pakistan's approval.
The General Secretary of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Nabi Sumji, addressing a large number of mourners, at Naugam in the outskirts of Indian occupied Srinagar said that killing of Kashmiri youth with impunity by Indian occupation troops had become the order of the day.
Meanwhile, Indian occupation troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, today martyred three Kashmiri youth at Maindher in Poonch.
The police arrested five persons of Shopian area from a protest march, heading towards Bijbehara, the hometown of puppet Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Saeed. The protest was sparked by prolonged siege of the area by Rashtriya Rifles personnel.
