The draft of the National Industrial Strategy will be made public on Thursday to seek public opinion and suggestions for the forthcoming National Industrial Policy. The Ministry of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives has initiated the process of formulating a National Industrial Strategy for the country.
A team of twelve economists were put together for this purpose. The team was mandated to evolve a strategy in line with the vision of the ministry and suggest short and long term measures for charting the course of industrialisation in the country.
The economists have completed draft of the strategy and will be made public to seek views for finalisation of the National Industrial Policy. The Ministry of Industries is organising a workshop in a local hotel on the subject and number of industrialists, economists and experts have been invited to give their views on the main findings of the strategy.
The Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Jehangir Khan Tareen will preside over the workshop.
