The Pakistan People's Party (Patriots) Chairman and Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal, while celebrating the 77th birth anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, said that "Mujhe Sadr Musharraf mein Bhutto Nazar Aa Raha Haiye"(Bhutto mirrors in President Musharraf). He also said that Bhutto had leadership qualities comparable to the Quaid-i-Azam.
The same day, Syed Kabir Ali Wasti, a Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leader, said in an interview that "Quaid-i-Azam ke Saheeh Jaanasheen Bhutto aur Musharraf Hein"(Bhutto and Musharraf are genuine heirs of the Quaid-i-Azam).
The political alliance and allegiance of the two parties is understandable and their leaders have the right to speak the same language, even about the two leaders to the extent of aakho meinoo Raanjhan maahi, Heer na aakho koie, Raanjha Raanjha kardee nee mein aape Raanjha hoie. But, one wonders why Quaid-i-Azam has to be ridiculed in the process?
