A six member Indian delegation led by Shishir Jaipuria, President Northern Indian Textile Mills Association visited offices of All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) on Tuesday and discussed issues of mutual interest in the textile sector. The Chairman Aptma Arif Saeed presented the textile scenario in Pakistan and apprised them of Aptma's 2010 vision of the textile sector in Pakistan.
The purpose of the delegation was to develop an understanding with the Pakistani textile industry and use their mutual understanding to deal with the situation emerging from the implementation of WTO from 1st January 2005.
The two sides shared the perception of facing the challenges and avail advantages of the immense opportunities coming to the Indo-Pak region after the removal of textile quotas by exchanging information and data on textile industry of two countries.
