A Chinese business delegation comprising 23 members has reached Pakistan to participate in the ongoing 6th Pakistan Industrial fair organised by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI). Chinese electronics and other products would be displayed in the fair from January 16 to 18 for general public. The President RCCI Najam Rehan on its arrival at Islamabad airport warmly received the delegation, whereas Senior Vice President Jalil Ahmed Malik, Vice President Asad Mashhadi and other members were also present on that occasion.
Later on, RCCI hosted a lunch in the honour of Chinese business-delegation where businessmen from both sides interacted with each other.
On this occasion RCCI President Najam Rehan while expressing his views observed the visit by the businessmen from China would open new vistas of economic relation between the two countries besides strengthening the cordial relations.
He said exchange of trade delegations would help to explore and understand the markets of both the sides. And in that regard private sector could play an important role, he added. He was of the view that both sides should share their experiences with each other for mutual benefits.
He added the meetings and exchange of delegations would help in enhancing the cooperation of two countries in trade and economic besides other sectors. "We are sure that the visit of Chinese delegation would help the two sides in exploring the markets of each other", he said adding that Chinese traders had lot of opportunities in Pakistan, similarly, Pakistani traders had opportunities in Chinese market.
Rehan assured all possible facilities and cooperation to Chinese delegation during their stay in Rawalpindi and expressed hope that the visit would further cement already congenial ties of the two sides.
Chinese traders thanked Najam Rehan and other senior executives of the chamber for their warm welcome and said it was an ample proof of brotherly relations of the two people. They said during the visit, the 23 member Chinese Trade Delegation would display their products including DVDs, VCDs, mobile phones and other electronic and electric products in the Industrial Fair. "We want to give Pakistani people a proper know-how about the quality of the Chinese products", the said.
They said the Chinese Government was giving preference to trade with Pakistan and it was expected that with the passage of time trade volume of the two countries would increase manifold.
