Brazilian sugar vessels line-up falls

The line-up of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazil's ports fell to 39 from 45 last week, shipping agent Williams said on Thursday. In a weekly report, it said 24 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, down from 30 last week. At Maceio, in north-eastern Brazil, there were four ships, the same as last week. The number of ships at the southern port of Paranagua was also four, up from three last week.
Brazil's main center-south sugar producing region has just completed a record harvest. The north-east region, accounting for about 15 percent of national output, is due to continue harvesting until the end of February.
