The people of Pakistan and India are anxious to come near each other, a prominent businessman, Mohammad Hussain Dhanji, head of a private delegation, said here on Sunday at the time of departure to India to participate in Indo-Pak Reverence Conference at Pune. According to a statement by the delegation organisers, about 100 Pakistanis, including businessmen, industrialists, media personnel, people from other walks of life will be attending this conference in India. The conference scheduled to be inaugurated on Sunday will conclude on January 21.
Mohammad Hussain Dhanji said promotion of joint business is major part of this conference to be held in Pune by virtue of which people of both countries will benefit financially. He said in this conference, Pakistan and Indian participants will discuss joint ventures in the field of horticulture, IT, building infrastructure, media and sports in addition to cultural harmony.
Dhanji said this conference provides a platform which will help improve bilateral relations in addition to business joint ventures and agreements, adding it will result in furthering friendly ties between peoples and governments of both countries. A delegation from India will also visit Pakistan in the same context in March, organisers said.
