The Islamic world is passing through critical time today, therefore, at this stage there is need of a leader who could get the Muslim Ummah out of the prevailing situation and gather them at one platform. These views were expressed by Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali, Central Secretary General of Almi Tanzeem-ul-Arifeen while addressing a news conference at the Lahore Press Club here on Sunday.
He said that today the Muslims were in trouble as they had abandoned the teachings of Islam and spiritualism. He stressed the need for preaching of spiritualism among the Muslims so that they could wake up from their slumbers.
Answering various questions of the journalists the Sahibzada said: "We have started a series of seminars 'Saee-e-Itehad-e-Ummah' to convey our message to all segments of society, including bureaucrats, political figures, Ulema and sufia in the country."
The first seminar of the series was held on November 26, 2004 at a local hotel in Islamabad, which was largely attended by people from every walk of life. The second seminar will be held at a hotel in Lahore on January 26, 2005, he added.
He further said that the workers and followers of his organisation were performing their duties in every nook and corner of the country with full sense of responsibility and religious zeal and he was very optimistic that their efforts for this noble cause will bear fruits.
Member of the Punjab Assembly and PML (N) leader Rana Tajammul Hussain, who was also present on the occasion, commended the services of Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali for the cause of the Muslims and his efforts for forging unity amongst them and said that the message of Tanzeem-ul-Arifeen is very meaningful and of great significance.
