The Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGC) informed its customers that "Gas Load Management" directive, necessitated by the closure of the Sui Purification Plant, across the selected cities in Sindh and Balochistan, has resulted in an equitable distribution of gas to its customers, says a press release issued here on Monday.
The release said, "Contrary to the speculation in certain quarters that the supply of gas to the industrial and power sectors has been suspended altogether by SSGC, the company has successfully managed to maintain its supply, although at reduced pressure, during peak hours as well," the release clarified adding that it "has mainly been possible due to the extensive control and monitoring efforts put into effect across the SSGC network and installations."
It further said, "The company wishes to advise all its industrial customers they will continue to receive their regular supply of gas."
According to release, the company expressed satisfaction to note the impact of reduced supply had been minimal on domestic customers, it added the SSGC was grateful to its customers for the co-operation they showed at difficult time.
As soon as the supply of gas from Sui was restored in a few days time, the supply of gas should revert to normal, the release concluded.-PR
