Government would continue reconciliation efforts with the opposition on important national issues, President Pakistan Muslim League, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Saturday. Talking to PTV, Shujaat said, no operation was being carried out in Balochistan and nobody should create such an impression. He categorically said that security agencies were there to protect the valuable national installations.
He called upon the local leaders to join hands with the government to develop the area and deal with miscreants.
Shujaat said, he and his companions will initiate meetings with all the leaders of Balochistan next week in a bid to create consensus.
He said the government is to launch massive development activity in the province and people there will witness things turning around.
He said the government will take every initiative that is in better national interest.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain also urged media to avoid reporting baseless news stories.
