New Zealand skipper Stephen Fleming smashed an whirlwind 106 off just 57 balls in a nine wicket win over a rusty World XI here on Sunday, prompting rival captain Shane Warne to say he had never seen better hitting. Although brutal, the innings also displayed Fleming's trademark elegance and the Australian star was full of praise for Fleming's "unbelievable striking".
The victory was built on a strong New Zealand bowling performance and rash batting by some of the International Cricketers' Associations (FICA) World XI, which restricted the visiting team to just 158 runs.
