The Karachi Port handled 68,571 tonnes of cargo including 58,298 tonnes import and 10,273 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The cargo comprised of 15,862 tonnes dry cargo including 5,635 tonnes general cargo; 907 tonnes fertilisers; 8,240 tonnes coal; 1.080 tonnes rice and 52,709 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Thor Captain, Golden Glory, MT Johar, Ilse Wulff and Hannibal-II sailed out to sea during the report period.
Three vessels viz Ilse Wulff, Wilmington and Shintoku are currently at the berths.
MV Wilmington expected to sail on Tuesday, while another two ships namely Zong He and Gao He are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Five vessels viz Nur Yanbu, Atlantica, Khairpur, Gao He and Oranje due to arrive on Tuesday, while four ships namely Cape Ferro, Lake Aru, Kota Wajar and YM Energy are due to arrive on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 500 tonnes chemicals; 10,315 tonnes edible oil; 15,100 tonnes HSF oil and 1,632 tonnes containerised cargo.
Five ships namely Anette Kosan, Hotaka Maru, Genmar Sun, MSC Camille and MT Yanaseni are expected to sail out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total of six vessels viz Emerald, Nur Yanbu, MV Shams, Maersk Alaska, Bunga Kelane and MV Anjum are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely Nur Yanbu, MV Shams, Maersk Alaska, Bunga Kelane and Saudi Abha due to take berths on Tuesday.
