Professor Mahmood Ahmad Chaudhry (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), Professor Emeritus, University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, has been elected member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). According to the notification issued by Ministry of Health, Professor Mahmood has been elected under PMDC Ordinance, 1962 for a period of five years with effect from January 11, 2005.
Professor Mahmood Ahmad, former Health Minister Punjab and ex-chairman Sheikh Zayed Medical Complex, Lahore, was nominated last week by the UHS Syndicate as its representative to the PMDC following the death of councils' president Professor Dr Hayat Zafar, who was the UHS representative in the PMDC since May 2003.
