Haji Camp Faisalabad would be shifted from its temporary location at Sargodha Road to its regular building. Agreeing in principle to an under consideration proposal in this regard, the Punjab Culture & Welfare Minister Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan has directed DCO Faisalabad Athar Hussain Sial to process case for the provision of suitable piece of state land for the purpose so that further progress in the matter at quick pace could be ensured.
Minister on the occasion of welcoming 188 Hujjaj returning back to Faisalabad from Saudi Arabia in the first flight issued this direction. The proposal was reiterated by renowned businessman Mian Yousaf Zaheer for construction of Haj Complex Building on voluntary basis by the business & trade community of Faisalabad.
The Minister asked the DCO to ensure that, preferably, the proposed site should be located on Jhang Road near the bye pass so as to facilitate the intending pilgrims with a site in proximity to the Airport. Those who welcomed the Hujjaj also included Director Haj Farogh Aftab Zaidi, Airport Manager Amanullah Alvi, PIA Station Manager M Saleem, DO(C) Malik Aslam & other concerned.
The return of Hujjaj would continue till 25th February. As many as 5262 Hujjaj would be flown back to Faisalabad during the period by PIA through 30 flights, the Minister was informed by PIA officers.
