Internet Service Providers Association of Pakistan (Ispak) has welcomed the government decision to bring down bandwidth rates by 50 percent. The Ispak expressed hope the step would benefit internet users, software houses and companies engaged in Information Technology-enabled businesses. "The downward revision will help people get internet connections at very affordable rates, besides increasing the downloading speed," said Ispak Vice President Dr Shahid Alvi.
He said the step would usher in a real revolution in the broadband culture, and remarked that such measures could make Pakistan a more attractive place, compared to India, for world software companies.
