Pakistan on Sunday achieved an upset victory against world champions Australia in a tri-series one-day cricket match at the Western Australian Cricket Association Ground. Pakistan dismissed Australia for 265 on a good batting wicket despite dropping a string of catches, including two off opener Adam Gilchrist. They then rattled up 268 for seven off 47.2 overs for their first win against the hosts on their current tour, after losing the Test series 3-0 and their two previous tri-series matches against Australia.
Yousuf Youhana set the stage for victory with 72 off 90 balls, including seven fours and one huge six.
He was helped by all-rounder Abdul Razzaq who finished unbeaten on 63 to go with his bowling figures of four for 53. Shahid Afridi added a quickfire 30 from 13 balls.
Pakistan face the West Indies in Perth on Tuesday to decide who will meet Australia in the final of the competition.
