Serena Williams' seventh career Grand Slam singles title vaulted her into second spot in the women's tennis rankings behind fellow American Lindsay Davenport, the WTA announced on Monday. Williams, who won the Australian Open on the weekend, jumped five spots from number seven with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-0 win over No 1 seed Davenport in Saturday's final.
