Jatoi directs Iesco to recover Rs 1900 million dues

Federal Minister for Water and Power, Liaquat Ali Jatoi has directed the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) to recover Rs 1900 million outstanding dues from the dead defaulters including Ministry of Defence and AJK Government. Strict action should be taken against those who failed to clear their outstanding electricity bills within the given time. He asked the Chief Executive Officer Iesco Brigadier Shahbaz Azam to launch a comprehensive recovery campaign against the government, semi-government and private departments/consumers owing about Rs 1900 million in lieu of power dues.
The minister issued these directives during a detailed briefing arranged in connection with opening of Chief Executive 'Complaint and Marketing Cell' here on Thursday.
