Rawalpindi traffic police collected an amount of Rs 4 million through fining about 25,083 vehicles on the violation of traffic rules in various parts of the city during January. Talking to APP here on Friday, Deputy Superintendent Traffic Police Malik Matloob Ahmed said steps had been taken to ensure implementation of traffic rules in the city.
He said that several vehicles were also impounded by the various police stations during the last month.
Malik Matloob said police had already displayed banners at various prominent places of the city roads to create awareness among the citizens regarding the traffic rules.
