Information Technology Minister Awais Leghari on Sunday said that the companies having long distance international (LDI) licence would start their operations within three months. Talking to a private channel, the minister said licences have been issued to 12 companies after getting $ 10 million guarantee.
For wireless local loop (WLL), 96 companies have got licences among which six to eight companies would provide services in 14 regions.
The minister hoped that international call rates would be reduced due to competition in the market.
