Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain addressing a high-level meeting here on Sunday said that Pakistan will participate in the competition on international car racing in near future.
He said a function that will be chaired by President Pervaiz Musharraf in this connection would be held later during the month.
Shujaat who was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister in the meeting averred that country's participation in international car racing event would be a matter of prestige to the nation.
Senior officials of Punjab including Chairman Pakistan International Airlines Ahmed Saeed, Federal Information Secretary Shahid Rafi were also present on the occasion.
