The parliament, federal Cabinet, and allied parties are being bypassed by President General Pervez Musharraf and all decision are being taken at the Corps Commanders level which caused external threats, internal unrest, and geographical errors, said MMA Deputy Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, MNA, while addressing a Press conference on Monday at the residence of Munir Bodla. He said: "President General Pervez Musharraf is entirely relying on his Corps Commanders and he is taking all decisions with their consent bypassing the parliament, federal Cabinet, and Muslim League. This situation might be harmful to country's integrity and solidarity."
He said that General Pervez Musharraf should resign from the post of army forthwith in the larger national interest because the army was creating troubles for the people, and the gap was widening between the masses and armed forces.
Liaquat Baloch alleged that the present regime is paving the way for Presidential form of government.
He asked why did the government increase the prices of petroleum products while the prices are falling down in the international markets, alleging the multinational companies are involved in looting the Pakistani consumers.
To a question, he said: "We have finalised our strategy of phase-wise movement. We, however, would launch a decisive movement against the government in March.
He said that India was not ready to talk on Baghliar dam, Siachen and Kashmir issues and reluctant to attend Saarc summit, but Pak rulers are trying to establish friendly ties with India under the pressure of United States.
He strongly condemned the United States for killing innocent peoples in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Baloch said the MMA would take part in local bodies elections whole-heartedly, and it would also make adjustment with other parties.
He said the MMA would foil nefarious designs of the ruling party to manipulate the election results.
