Government urged to set up SME Promotion Bureau

The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) has urged the government to set up Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Promotion Bureau for fast growth of SMEs in the country. In a statement here on Monday, the Unisame President Zulfikar Thaver said the Bureau was needed to look after industry, trade and services promotion of SMEs involved in any area, and had a proper system for sector wise upliftment.
He said despite the efforts of the government, SME sector was facing all sorts of problems, which were hindering its growth and refraining the country to capitalise in potential in the economic development.
