Epilepsy is a common neurologica1 condition that affects one percent of people world-wide. Epilepsy can be confused with other medical and psychiatric conditions 1eading to misdiagnosis and mismanagement, which can in turn increase the physical and emotional suffering of the patient, said the statement issued by AKUH here on Saturday. The Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH), Karachi, is organising 'Signs, Symptoms and Care' programme, being held in Dubai on February 16, in which this situation will be the focus of discussion, the statement added.
Leading neurologist Dr Nadir Ali Syed, Head of the Section of Neurology at the AKUH, would shed light on the various aspects of epilepsy in his key presentation titled 'Epilepsy-Diagnosis and Treatment'.-PR
