According to a report the judges of Malawi, who are currently using ten-year old Toyota Corolla cars, would be provided new vehicles as promised by their government. In sharp contrast, Pakistani VVIPs use latest luxurious cars at the expense of the exchequer. Thirty bullet-proof Mercedes Benz and twenty Toyota Land Cruisers valuing billions of rupees are being added to the existing fleet of hundreds of latest model cars for the use of elected and non-elected VVIPs.
And it happens at a time when, at an average, more than eleven Pakistanis commit suicide every day, primarily due to financial hardships.
Maybe if the Pakistani VVIP's could share their justification for such lavish expenditure, the 'poor' Malawi judges might just get new luxurious cars every year or so.
