A high-level Chinese delegation, led by Assistant Minister of Commerce Yi Xiaozhun Zhun, will visit Pakistan next week to review the existing economic co-operation between the two countries. Official sources told newsmen here on Monday that the visit would help the two sides to discuss the entire spectrum of their economic collaboration. Besides evaluating the progress on the ongoing Chinese-funded projects here, the delegation would also explore the new avenues of their future economic co-operation, they said.
According to the sources, the two sides will hold some preparatory work before the forthcoming visit of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to Pakistan that is likely to take place in the first half of April.
The two countries attached great importance to the Premier's visit and wished to make it more productive in term of their economic relations.
An official of the Chinese Commerce Ministry said the relations of the two countries had been progressing well in the recent years and they were looking forward to undertake some new joint ventures of bilateral interest.
