Commander Siachan Brigade, Brigadier Nasir Khan Janjua urged upon the people to forge unity among their ranks and thwart the nefarious designs of enemies who were out to disturb the congenial atmosphere of the area adding that adequate arrangements had been made to maintain peace and security during the holy month of Moharram. He was presiding over a meeting held at Khaplu to review security arrangements and to maintain law and order in Ghangche district. Officials of district administration, public representatives, Ulema of different schools of thought and elite of Khaplu attended it.
He assured that Armed Forces would assist the civil administration in maintaining peace and security in the district.
A committee namely "Ittehad-Bainul-Muslimeen" was constituted which would also help to maintain law and order in Ghangche district during and after Moharram.
Meanwhile a meeting was also held under chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ghangche to arrange Moharram programmes in Changche district. He said that foolproof arrangements had been made and FC would be deployed at all sensitive places in the district.
