In order to facilitate the passenger and to enable easy access to customs, the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has established a custom facilitation desk at Room No 3020 and 3021 at level three of the Jinnah International Airport, says a press release issued here on Thursday. The passengers can have unhindered approach to the said facilitation centre as it is outside the notified area and passengers would not require any permission from air port security force (ASF) to reach the facilitation centre, it added.
Similarly, the release added queries of the passengers will be answered swiftly on phone numbers: 92148502 and 45791146 and they would not have any difficulty in obtaining information about baggage rules, admissibility of their allowances and any other question which they might have.
The release further stated the customs staff would be available during office hours from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on all working days.
It is pertinent to mention here that the CBR has already established a web based information site wherein queries of passengers and overseas Pakistanis are answered in addition to availability of English and Urdu versions of the baggage rules.-PR
