Ministry of environment has released the draft environment policy for public consultation for a period of one month. The policy has been released to ensure wider public participation in finalisation of this policy, said Minister for Environment, Major Tahir Iqbal (Retd) while commenting on the draft policy. The minister said, the draft has been prepared after consultation with the government agencies, civil society, private sector and other stakeholders. The draft policy has been placed on the ministry's web site "www.environment.gov.pk/nep/policy.pdf" for comments and suggestions by all the stakeholders within one month time.
