I was amazed to read a letter in your newspaper of Sulaiman Khan, which was in reply to my previous letter "the Rights of the Minorities" published in the edition of 14th December, 2004. I think the writer completely misread the meaning and purpose of that letter. Undoubtedly as he pointed out what's happening with Muslims all over the world especially in Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan is unacceptable and a clear violation of human rights.
All the people of the world, belonging to any caste or creed, whether in majority or in minority firmly contradict and oppose these kind of cruel acts. The point I want to highlight is that processions and rallies held in the Western World, were the biggest of all to protest against this cruelty. People gathered in a large number and took an active part in these processions and stood up against their governments which was not seen in any other part of the world. This was a historic moment, which was not witnessed ever before.
The blue marked words are that whatever is happening today is not a war of civilisations. The feelings, emotions and the colour of the blood of all human beings is the same, there is no difference between any human being. If one also adopts this kind of obdurate behaviour what difference will there remain between you and others.
In the end I want to advice the writer that if you are not satisfied with how people treat you and if you want to ameliorate your image than you should look at some of the key aspects your religious teachings and understand its meaning in depth. Because sorry to say but some people have defaced their religious teachings and by using their followers as shields to kill others and protect themselves, are destroying the lives of innocent people for their own sake or for their personal benefits. If one removes this sort of negative thinking than people will give you equal importance and value in their societies.
