Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (Piaf) has hope that recent visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi would help in giving boost to the economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Malaysia. Piaf Chairman, Muhammad Ali Mian, in a statement issued here opined that increased co-operation with Asian economic Tiger would help Pakistan overcoming the problem of unemployment, as Malaysia had shown interest both in investing in Pakistan and importing skilled labour from Pakistan.
While Malaysia could also take advantage of geographical location of Pakistan, he said. He was of the view that solution to problems faced by Muslim Ummah lies in increased mutual trade and economic activities between Muslim countries. He demanded that visa restrictions must be softened for traders of Pakistan and Malaysia to facilitate exchange of trade delegations.
