ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti on Thursday said that Balochistan nationalists were not involved in recent blasts in Quetta.
"Those cannot be blamed for these blasts who have parties registered with Election Commission, contested elections and are part of Balochistan Assembly," he said talking in a private news channel programme.
He said an Improvised Explosive Device was planted along the road and law-enforcing agencies are investigating the incident to nab the culprits.
He said the provincial government was not shying away from its responsibilities by alleging intelligence agencies of neighbours. "It was just to tell our people about their nefarious designs and proxy war they have started against our people.
We are not shying away and owe the responsibility of protecting our people and shall fulfill our obligations."
He ruled out presence of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in Balochistan and said, "our enemy agencies are using Lashkar-e- Jhangvi for attacks." "But, we shall not let them go. Saifullah Kurd and Jaish-e-Muhammad leader who masterminded Shikarpur blast were killed in security forces operations. We shall also track down the culprits of recent blasts."
Bugti said the provincial government is determined to fight out terrorists and eliminate them.
"They have started this war against our people and we shall bring it to an end by eliminating them."
