The dollar clawed back some of its losses against the Swiss franc in early European trade on Monday, after a US employment report disappointing traders sent the greenback south last week. The dollar last traded at 1.1702/05 Swiss francs, up from 1.1678/83 late on Friday in Europe. The euro was down a touch, changing hands for 1.5481/86 francs 1.5465/70 on Friday.
The US economy created 262,000 jobs last month, data showed on Friday. The number fell short of some expectations that had risen following a strong service sector employment indicator a day earlier.
The dollar fell by almost 0.02 franc following the data, to bounce back slightly on Monday.
Domestically, traders will be eyeing Swiss unemployment data for February due for release at 0645 GMT, with the average in a Reuters poll being for the unemployment rate to hold steady at 4.1 percent as the Swiss economy pauses on its way to recovery.
