The Speaker, National Assembly, Choudary Amir Hussain has underscored the need for spreading the message of Holy Quran in every nook and corner of the world enabling the mankind to overcome growing problems by following its teaching. Addressing an International Qirat Mahfil held on Tuesday night at the Government Jinnah Islami College here, he said: "We being Muslims, therefore, it is our religious and moral duty that we should collectively work for spreading the universal message of Holy Quran.
Chaudhry Amir Hussain said that solution to growing problems being faced by mankind could be resolved through pursuing the universal teaching of Holy Quran. The Muslim Ummah can regain its status and prestige by acting upon the Holy Quran and golden teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) he added.
The NA Speaker said that pursuing the principles of Holy Quran and golden teachings of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) the Muslims could avoid disgrace and overcome multifarious problems.
He called upon the people to mould their lives according to the tenets of Islam and develop sectarian harmony, brotherhood, and unity for making the country an invincible state of the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Religious Affairs Minister Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah lauded the efforts of the organisers for arranging International Qirat Mahfil.
He said that it is the Holy Quran that provides perfect guidelines not only to individuals, but also to the collective level as well as covers details all aspects of life, adding: "We can overcome our problems and difficulties more easily if we follow the instructions of the Holy Quran.
Provincial Secretary and Chief Administrator Auqaf Muhammad Javed Iqbal Awan, in his address, said that the aim of holding Qirat Mahfi was to infuse a spirit among the younger generation, adding that Qirat Mahfil would be made a permanent feature in Sialkot.
Qaris of Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Kuwait, Egypt, Bangladesh and Corsica participated in the international Qirat Mahfil.
On this occasion, Chaudhry Amir Hussain, Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah, Sialkot District Nazim, District Co-ordination Officer Syed Tahir Raza Naqvi, and Tehsil Nazim Sialkot Muhammad Akmal Cheem and Chief Administrator Auqaf distributed the shields among the participating Qaris.
