Acting President and Chairman, Senate Muhammadmian Soomro has said that the national issues should be kept above personal liking and disliking. Talking to newsmen at Sukkur airport on Tuesday night, he asked those opposing the construction of new dams to suggest the ways for overcoming water shortage without building the dams. To a question, Soomro said, "The opposition plays a pivotal role in democratic set up and fortunately in Senate both the ruling as well as opposition parties are playing their due role evident from the fact that often they show mutual understanding on national issues."
On a query about Sindh situation, he viewed that there was no crisis in the province and added that all issues are being sorted out through dialogue.
All conflicting matters, whether in Sindh or Balochistan, would be solved taking into confidence all the parties, he said.
On dialogue between Government and Peoples Party, he observed that dialogue was the only solution for resolving conflicts, and said he would not comment further on it, however, added,'There was no crisis in the country.'
Earlier, Chairman Senate paid a surprise visit to various localities of Sukkur.
He also visited a friend to offer condolence.
Besides, Chairman, Senate visited Sadh Bello and also inspected the repair work at Sukkur Barrage.
The Unicef official, Naib Nazim Sukkur, Iqbal Pakwalla, DCO Sukkur Shafiq Khoso and others accompanied him.
