Sudden and sharp increase in gas bills is a matter of concern and the Prime Minister should take immediate notice of this unjustified raise. Piaf Vice-Chairman Mian Abuzar Shad expressed these views in a statement issued here on Thursday. He appealed to the Prime Minister to force the oil and gas regulatory authority (OGRA) to take back the raise in gas bills by adjusting it in the next bills as high gas bills had put the people in deep trouble.
He added soon after the raise in petrol prices, high gas bills were an unbearable burden on the masses and thus giving a bad name to the government which otherwise was doing well on many other fronts.
He was of the view that those things were leaving a negative impact on the industry of the country and also sending wrong signals abroad.
