Professor Dr Syed Altaf Hussain inaugurated "Utility and Facilities Block" constructed at the junction of under construction "Science Research complex" and "University Hostel" on 22 February 2005. This newly constructed building comprises a general store, Stationery Shop and a fruit shop with attached washrooms.
Constructed after the model of "Tolinton" market of Lahore, it has acquired much importance due to heavy influx of full time residents as well as visiting students and teachers. Verily this is a beautiful addition in the map of the university. Separate washrooms for ladies and gents have also been constructed for general public.
