The new management of the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), Kanuz Al-Watan, has decided not to bring any change in the existing technical team so as to improve the power supply system. This was stated by Managing Director KESC, Brigadier Tariq Saddozai, while speaking at a luncheon meeting of Association of Builders and Developers here on Friday. The Chairman Abad, Babar Chughtai, Chairman Southern Region Arif Siddiqi, Saleem Patel and others also spoke on the occasion.
Tariq Saddozai said that after KESC's privatisation, its performance would improve further and new management would try to provide more facilities to consumers.
He said even during the privatisation process, the power supply would continue uninterrupted.
He said the purpose of retaining the present technical team is to further reduce the line losses and to meet any technical problem easily.
He said the KESC is keen to solve the problems of builders because they are a big source of revenue for the corporation. It has always been an endeavour of the corporation to provide connections to builders on priority basis and corporation will keep it up in future as well, he added.
Chairman Abad Babar Chughtai noted that KESC's performance is improving and hopefully improve further after its privatisation.
