Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan directed the construction of check posts at every 45 Km of Northern bypass. He stressed maintaining strict watch on the crimes in border areas of the province, specially, on exit routes to check stolen vehicles. He issued the directive while talking to Town Police Officers (TPOs) at Surjani Town Police Station on Thursday evening. The Advisor for Local Government Waseem Akhtar, MPA Mohammed Hussain, IG Sindh Asad Jehangir, DCO Fazlur Rehman, CCPO Karachi, DIG Operation and other officials were also present on the occasion.
The Governor' s review of law and order situation was fourth in the series of reviewing the situation in various Towns of Karachi. Earlier, he had visited North Nazimabad, Gulberg and Gulshan-e-Iqbal Towns.
In the interior of Sindh also, the Governor had visited various districts in this regard during which he had issued instructions for maintaining improved law and order. Reviewing the situation in Surjani Town, Governor Ishrat-ul-Ebad said there was great need for all the time paying attention on border areas, highways because of vast government lands. He directed that action should be taken without any discrimination against occupation of government land and their encroachment. He instructed the measures should be ensured to control street crimes in the area.
He appreciated the efforts of Surjani Town Police Station and incharges of other stations for better law and order situation. The Governor issued directive for provision of two mobiles to the Town for increased patrolling along the northern bypass. He ordered the setting up of motorcycle police force in the Town and for that purpose provision of motorcycles in appropriate number.
