At least 19 people were killed and 15 injured on Sunday when a bus skidded off a mountain road into a deep gorge in the north Indian state of Uttaranchal, police said. The accident took place 12 km (8 miles) from the tourist town of Mussoorie, Senior Superintendent of Police P.V.K. Prasad told Reuters by telephone.
