President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Major Sardar Mohammad Anwar (Retd) said on Monday that Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service may prove to be a step forward for the solution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with the ambitions of Kashmiri people. Talking to a private television channel, he said the start of bus service is not a solution of Kashmir dispute, the real solution rests in the resolutions of United Nations Security Council, which pledge the right of self-determination for the Kashmiris.
He said the reports reaching from the Indian Occupied Kashmir tell that the matter of issuing travelling documents to Kashmiris was being complicated by the authorities.
He said the local authorities on the both sides were supposed to issue the travelling permits, but it was reported that Indian government had given the assignment to immigration and passport agencies.
Secondly, it is being said that Pakistani and Indian citizens could also visit through this route which is another aspect that can create complexity, he added.
While criticising the puppet chief minister of IHK for claiming credit of Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus service, he said, he does not represent the Kashmiri people rather he is spokesman of the Indian government.
To a question, he said, the Kashmiris reaching from IHK on first trip of Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus would warmly be welcomed here in AJK.
