The government has offered land to Malaysia to invest in livestock farms in the country. This was discussed in a meeting of Malaysian delegation, headed by Tan Sri Dato Emeritess, with Federal Minister for Food Agriculture and Livestock Sikandar Hayat Bosan here on Monday. Datu expressed desire that they want to establish livestock farms in Pakistan and later import meat to Malaysia. The Malaysian delegation said that investment opportunities in Pakistan would promote bilateral relations between two countries.
Sikandar said that Pakistan and Malaysia are already enjoying brotherly ties and assured them that Pakistan government was making all-out efforts to facilitate Malaysian investors to invest in Pakistan livestock sector.
The Minister invited the delegation to invest in corperate farming. Bosan said that Pakistan is also looking for foreign investment in establishment of cold-chain and food grain storage facilities in the country.
He added that "we are also interested in establishing joint venture" in areas of horticulture and livestock under a buyback mechanism with potential investors.
