FAUJI CEREALS: Fauji Cereals started its production, in collaboration with Quaker Oats of England in 1954. Soon it was able to function independently and is now producing a wide range of products including Corn Flakes. Wheat Flakes, Rice Flakes, Instant Food, Wheat Porridge, Barley Porridge, Pearl Barley, Honey Pops, Chocolate Pops, Saltish Pops (four flavours), Honey Corn Flakes, Jelly (six flavours), Corn Flour, Rice Flour, Maize Semolina, Ice Cream Powder, Custard Powder (five flavours), Kheer Mix and Laundry Starch etc.
Equipped with modern machinery and quality control lab, the plant is producing cholesterol free products having high nutritional value with more than 80% carbohydrate content, high dietary fibre, moderate proteins and low fats.
Rated as the best selling and most preferred brand in the country's market, Fauji Cereals has now penetrated into the international market and is exporting its products to other countries also. ISO 9002-2000 certified, the project has also been awarded the American Quality Award, International Food Award and International Leading Company Award.
FOUNDATION GAS: Foundation Gas, commonly known as Fongas, is the oldest and one of the largest Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing and distribution companies in the country. It was established in 1972. The Project controls about 16% of the country's market share through its network of 460 distributors, catering to the demand of over 464,000 consumers throughout the country including Northern Areas, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Azad Kashmir. During he Year 2003-04, the project marketed 55,236 metric tons of LPG country-wide, which includes 11,874 metric tons of imported LPG.
To support the marketing network, Fongas has five plants, which collectively have a strage capacity of over 1,940 metric tons with a bottling capacity of more than 175 metric tons per shift. The plants have been located and designed to cater for future expansion and to provide uninterrupted supply to consumers.
In order to provide better quality and to ensure maximum safety, these bottling plants have also been equipped with the requisite facilities including continuous process of hydro-testing and re-qualification of cylinders and valves etc. The Project is ISO 9002 certified.
Through marketing of LPG, the Foundation Gas earned a net profit of nearly Rs 208 million during the Year 2003-2004.
FAUJI CORN COMPLEX: Fauji Corn Complex is an agro based project. It is located on Swabi - Jehangira Road about three kilometers off Dobandi Road Cross, a maize producing area in the North-West Frontier Province. The project has a grinding capacity of 120 metric tons maize per day on a three-shift basis. The entire range of FCC products are made of corn.
Maize contains 71% starch, 12.50% fibre, 10.50 protein, 4.50% oil and 1.10% sugar. Fauji Corn Complex produced 17,180 metric tons starch, 9,299 metric tons liquid glucose, 4,268 metric tons feed 20%, 1,585 metric tons gluten meal 60%, 899 metric tons crude oil and 1,700 metric tons oil cake during the Year 2003-04.
The Project is ISO certified and has recently joined the export market by selling its products to Afghanistan.
FAUJI SECURITY SERVICES: Fauji Security Services was established in 1993 to provide security services to various clients, such as diplomatic missions, industrial units, business centres, banks, hotels, installations, offices etc. The FSS employs only ex-servicemen who have the requisite background.
The Head Office of the project is located at the Fauji Towers, Chaklala, Rawalpindi with regional offices at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Sialkot. The company provided 1730 security guards to its clients in different parts of the country in the year 2003-04.
FAUJI SUGAR MILLS: Fauji Foundation purchased the mills from Modern Motors Limited in 1972. It is located in the sugar cane rich district of Sheikhupura. Crushing capacity is 3,800 metric tons per day. Capacity enhancement is under consideration. The project is ISO certified.
OVERSEAS EMPLOYMENT SERVICES: Overseas Employment Services is one of the projects of Fauji Foundation and has been exporting manpower since 1978. It helps Pakistanis to find suitable jobs abroad while rendering reliable and efficient recruitment services to foreign employers.
Over the years, OES has developed a wide database, covering all categories of professionals, skilled and semi-skilled personnel.
OES benefits from the reputation of Fauji Foundation and its vast contacts in Government, business and industrial circles.
The Project has the unique advantage of arranging professional, practical, academic and medical tests through qualified experts of Fauji Foundation institutions and industrial concerns.
True to its market standing and reputation, OES provides transparent and guaranteed services. In 2003-04, 271 personnel were provided job opportunities abroad. A total of 6910 individuals have been sent abroad since the start of this project.
FAUJI MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES: Fauji Medical Transcription Services, located at Fauji Towers Chaklala, Rawalpindi, the Head Office of Fauji Foundation, is an off-shoot of the former Fauji Soft Company. The aim of FMTS is to provide accurately transcribed documents strictly following the turnaround time limit and guidelines given by the American Associates for Medical Transcription (AAMT). The Project is professionally manned and equipped. It has clients in the USA.
The Project can also provide Data Entry & Bureau Services, primarily Medical & Legal Transcription. This facility is capable of handling sensitive, confidential and critical audio/visual data entry transcription and research work, with 99% accuracy, in the required turnaround time.
FAUJI FOUNDATION EXPERIMENTAL & SEED MULTIPLICATION FARM: The Farm, spread over 2,498 acres, has been with the Foundation since 1959. Besides production of sugarcane, it also carries out experiments, research, testing and development of new sugarcane varieties. Experiments in application of fertilisers, weedicides and insecticides have also been done here.
